In order to grow as a Christian, it’s important to serve other people in addition to worshipping God. The Bible teaches that the most important command is to “Love the LORD your God” and to “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Before Jesus was crucified on the cross, He gathered his disciples and washed their feet, saying “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” Our desire is to be true to His calling.
At TBC, we have about 60 ministries available and each are different. There is the choir and praise band that over 100 people are involved in as well as those that serve in less visible areas such as welcoming the new comers and the good news class for new comers, the media team, the power point team, the people that care for the baptisms and the prayer team. There is also a weekday ministry that puts the bulletin together and a website ministry that you can work at from home.
At TBC, there are prison and homeless ministries that outreach into the communities also. There are ministries that support those who are having personal difficulties or those who are seeking their life purposes such as the biblical counseling and celebrate recovery ministries.
These ministry opportunities are available for those who have been baptized and taken class 101 and have signed the church covenant. In addition, for those who have attended class 301, they can start their own unique ministry. Would you like to connect with TBC and join a ministry?
