What we believe about God and the Gospel is as follows;
We believe the Bible to be the Word of God. It gives us wisdom and it is also authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe that God is the Creator of this world and of us all. He is the one and only, He is omniscient and omnipotent. God is in three person Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. He concerns Himself with the affairs of man, and hears and answers prayer with his mercy and grace.
Man was created in God’s own image but he fell in sin from the temptation to be equal to God. All humans are to perish because of this sin. But Jesus Christ came to earth in the flesh, was crucified for the remission of all sin, was raised from the dead after three days, and was ascended into Heaven. We confess Jesus Christ our Lord to be the son of God.
Anyone who confesses his own sins, and repents and receives Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by faith is saved and will become a child of God. We cannot make ourselves righteous by our own deeds and it is only by God’s Grace that we are saved
We will live as Christ’s disciples, obeying His commandments. Our conduct ought to be exemplified by living for the glory of God, being a faithful steward of time, talent, and treasure, and endeavoring to be Christ-like in behavior.
