About the Church

Welcome to Tokyo Baptist Church (TBC). Our church is an international church of people from more than 50 countries around the world. Worship services are in English with translation into Japanese. You can learn about Jesus Christ through a variety of classes and small groups. There are also opportunities to serve Christians and their neighboring communities around the world through one of our many ministries. There are more than 100 people accepting Jesus Christ at TBC each year, rediscovering the meaning of their life and practicing the teachings of the Bible daily. We also welcome those who have never been to church before. We hope to see you here!

How do I become a member of TBC?

To become a member of TBC, a person must confess their sins, repent to God, and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. If you have made a decision to follow Jesus, please contact the TBC pastors. After that, two more things are required:

• Receive baptism after accepting Jesus
• Take Membership class (Class 101) and sign the Membership Covenant afterward.

Class 101 is held periodically on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm and Sundays from 3pm to 7pm. Additional Maturity classes are available to members: Class 201 (Discovering My Maturity), Class 301 (Discovering My Ministry), Class 401 (Discovering My Mission), and others.
